Who we are
The Montréal Climate Summit is the annual gathering of the Montréal community for the climate transition.
It is a milestone event where public authorities and society’s key stakeholders highlight solutions, measure collective progress and share successes and challenges in their work to speed up the city’s climate transition.
Each year, the Summit invites leaders from the business, philanthropic, political, union, grassroots and environmental communities, as well as students and citizens of every stripe, to gather and rally around concrete measures. It’s also the premier platform for making announcements and commitments to doing more, better and faster for the climate.
The Summit is organized by the Montréal Climate Partnership in collaboration with the City of Montréal and many partners.
Meet the team
Montréal Climate Partnership
Launched by the Foundation of Greater Montréal and the Trottier Family Foundation, the Montréal Climate Partnership (MCP) is an independent initiative bringing together nearly a hundred economic, nonprofit, philanthropic and institutional organizations. Its objective is to mobilize key players in the Montréal community to help reduce GHG emissions by 55% by 2030 and put the city on the path to carbon net-zero by 2050.
The initiative is funded by the Foundation of Greater Montréal, the Trottier Family Foundation, the McConnell Foundation and the City of Montréal.

The 2024 Montréal Climate Summit aims to grow collaboration between sectors and to ramp up climate action in Greater Montréal.
This will be an opportunity for the City of Montréal, civil society and the business community to find tangible ways to shorten timelines on current commitments and to announce new measures that are concrete, quantified and truly ambitious, particularly in emissions reduction, sustainable transportation and climate change adaptation.
