About the Montréal
Climate Summit

The Montréal Climate Summit is the annual gathering of the Montréal community for the climate transition.

It is a milestone event where public authorities and society’s key stakeholders highlight solutions, measure collective progress and share successes and challenges in their work to speed up the city’s climate transition.

Each year, the Summit invites leaders from the business, philanthropic, political, union, grassroots and environmental communities, as well as students and citizens of every stripe, to gather and rally around concrete measures. It’s also the premier platform for making announcements and commitments to doing more, better and faster for the climate.

The Summit is organized by the Montréal Climate Partnership in collaboration with the City of Montréal and many partners.

2024 Co-Chairs

The 2024 Montréal Climate Summit is co-chaired by two exceptional women: Anne-Marie Hubert, Managing Partner for Eastern Canada at EY, and Dr. Mylène Drouin, Director of Public Health for the Montréal region. Thanks to their respective positions and backgrounds, they represent vital and complementary sectors in the work needed to reduce GHG emissions and adapt to climate change.

“In 2023 we saw that this is no time for half-measures. To reduce GHG emissions, adapt to climate change and protect our most vulnerable populations, we need faster, bolder action planned for the short, medium and long terms,” said the 2024 Summit co-chairs.

Invaluable collaboration

Each year, the Summit arises from a close collaboration between the Montréal Climate Partnership and the City of Montréal, working together to fast-forward the city’s climate transition.

« Montréal is a world leader in climate change adaptation and is fortunate to rely on a determined and cooperative ecosystem that actively seeks ways to decarbonize our infrastructure, support our transition to sustainable transportation and help us build an equitable and inclusive society. Events like the Montréal Climate Summit offer a crucial forum for developing and sharing knowledge, and we are thrilled by its success. »
